Steeped in an Ancient & Sacred Buddhist Healing System
The healing art of Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient and sacred system of healing which is deep-rooted in Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine and Buddhist spiritual practices. Thai Yoga Massage, also called Nuad Boran, is a dynamic bodywork that is traditionally performed on a mat. This ancient massage was developed by buddhist monks in Thailand over 2500 years ago.
Based upon yoga and Ayurveda practices, this massage combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, asana (Yogic stretching exercises), gentle twisting, energy work and meditation. Using a series of yoga postures, passive pulling & stretching, while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points, together, this massage provides a full body treatment that relieves muscle & joint tension, increases flexibility, and balances the body physically & spiritually.
We recommended wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothes to ensure ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or lotions are used in this treatment.
